Nigerian singer and songwriter Sidney Esiri is better known by his stage name Dr. Sid is a licensed dentist from Okpe, an urhobo extract of Delta State in the Niger Delta area of Nigeria who left the medical industry to pursue a career in music.
He was the second of four children born to the late famous Nollywood actor Justus Esiri (MON) and fashion designer Omiete Esiri on May 1st, 1980 in Ikeja, Lagos State, where he was raised.
