DSS Training Requirements

The requirements for Department of State security training are designed to assist Department of State Security candidates and other Department personnel in understanding the Department’s policies and procedures for protecting Department information. The Department offers numerous security-related training courses, including:

  • The Basic Employee Orientation Course
  • Security Awareness Program
  • Emergency Preparedness Training

Therefore, it is important that you visit the training ground with the following items

  • Firstly, your writing materials
  • Secondly, state of origin cert.
  • Thirdly, original copies of your certificate properly arranged in a file
  • In addition, your Birth Certificates.
  • Most importantly, DSS recruitment print-outs which must include, the guarantor form duly signed
  • Two (2) pairs of white T-Shirts (plain) and blue shorts.
