Delete Grammarly Account
- First, you need to create a new account for Grammarly. Go to https://www.grammarly.com/new-account and sign in with your username and password.
- Next, click on the Add Account button at the top right of the page.
- You will then be taken to a page that asks you to select an email address. Enter your email address below and press OK.
You are now ready to delete Grammarly from your devices!

You can delete your account directly from your computer.
1. Open the Grammarly web page and click ‘delete this app‘ in the top-right corner
2. You’ll be asked to confirm the deletion
3. Then you’ll be asked to enter a PIN
4. The app will remove itself from your device
Revoke access for all devices
First, make sure you’ve revoked all access to the Grammarly account. If you haven’t already done so, log in and go to Account > Delete Accounts. Tap on “Delete” and confirm your deletion using the button in the upper right corner. You can then proceed with deleting Grammarly from all of your devices.
Check your email inbox for deletion confirmation
You’ll want to check your email inbox for links that might have Grammarly in them. If you do find one, click the link to delete it. Once you click the link, you’ll see a confirmation page asking you to confirm that you’ve received this email. Clicking Yes will remove Grammarly from all your devices, including your computer and mobile phone.

Before we begin this process, we want to show you how to delete your Grammarly account and revoke access to the service. As a reminder, Grammarly records every single spelling and grammar mistake that you make on their platform.
This can be incredibly useful if you know you’ve made an error or two. But it’s also dangerous to the privacy of others—like your employees, who may stumble across those mistakes as they’re trying to complete tasks for you.
First, head over to https://grammarly.com/support/ (or https://grammarly.com/support). Then, click “Delete Your Account.” You’ll need to confirm this request by clicking “OK” and agreeing with the Terms of Service agreement:

How to delete personal data
In order to delete your account, you have to go to your Grammarly settings page. You can find it at https://grammarly.com/settings/.
Once on this page, you can click the “Delete Account” button under the “Account Details” section.
After a few seconds, you will be taken back to your account management page. Clicking on “Delete Account” will take you back to the Grammarly dashboard.
When you come back, click on “More My Grammar” in the top right corner of the screen and select the option that reads “Remove my Grammarly data from these devices“. This will remove all of your personal data from all of your devices, including your mobile phone and tablet.
How to delete Grammarly from your devices
For this, you’re going to need your mobile phone number. If this seems too complicated, don’t worry; with the Grammarly app on your mobile device, you can delete it from there.
- First, open the app and tap on the “settings” tab at the bottom right of the screen.
- After that, select “edit profile.”
- From here, tap on the “delete” button in the upper right corner of the page.
- A confirmation screen will come up. Tap on “okay.”
How to Get a Refund from Grammarly
There are a few ways to get a refund from Grammarly. If you have already signed up using the free trial, you can request a refund by going to your account settings and clicking “Review & Revoke Access.” Users who haven’t had their accounts revoked, however, can’t request refunds on their account.
If you’ve already paid for the service but want to cancel, you can go to your account page and click “Request Refund“.
You’ll see an option for requesting a refund. There is also an option on that page to “Limit my requests.” You can choose whether or not your request will be taken into consideration and how often it will be taken into consideration — which we’d recommend taking into consideration as soon as possible!
