Farm survey is a process of drawing out an adequate farm process from the resources on the farm. These resources include the topography of the land, size, area and structures on a piece of land.

1. Size Determination:

What you will need to note there are the soil PH, soil structure, soil texture, percolation, capillarity and so on.

You don’t just go for loamy soil for some crops, you need the very unique introduction. For instance; moist, dark, humus-rich loamy soil is required for some soil.

While some might also need something dry to survive but also rich in humus and a clear loam. This is different and qualifying both can lead to loss due to unplanned or lack of farm survey.

4. For Farm Security:

A land can be said to be secured when it has an issued certificate of the owner. This way the farmer can have a good say over the farmland when irrelevancies or arguments come up.

Only farmland that has been surveyed can have the perfect fact for a certification. Without this survey, the facts might not be correct. Unfortunately, when conflicts come up over the certificate of that land can be termed illegal.

So, a good farm survey facilitates proper planning for the future. This proper planning is the acquisition of Certificates of Occupancy (C of O) that might be needed in the future.

What makes one farmer different from another is how they forecast yield. With the survey done properly and the fact has been figured out. A farmer will know how to give optimum effort to his farm to generate the maximum amount of income from it.
