Simisola Bolatito Adeola Opeyemi Oreoluwa Ogunleye, better known by her stage name Simi, is a Nigerian singer, composer, and sound engineer from Ondo state in the country’s south-west. She was born on April 19, 1988. Graduate of Covenant University’s mass communication program. She began her career as a gospel singer and released her first studio album, named Ogaju, in 2008.
After releasing “Tiff,” a song that was nominated for Best Alternative Song at The Headies 2015, Simi rose to fame in 2014. Simi acquired a record deal with X3M Music in 2014, however she departed the company in May 2019 after her contract ran out.

Simi was the last of four children and was born in Ojuelegba, a Surulere neighborhood. Simi went to secondary education at Stars International College in Ikorodu, Lagos State. She attended Covenant University to study mass communication, and she graduated from there.
