Stephanie Linus, born Stephanie Onyekachi Okereke, is an actress, filmmaker, and model from Nigeria. The nollywood actress has received numerous nominations and awards for her work, including the 2003 Reel Award for Best Actress, the 2006 Afro Hollywood Award for Best Actress, and three nominations for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2005, 2009, and 2010 respectively.

Stephanie Okereke was born in Imo State’s Ngor Okpala. She is currently the sixth of eight children born to Mary and Chima Okereke. She attended elementary and secondary school in Delta State. She graduated with a degree in English and Literary Studies from the University of Calabar in Cross River State, where she studied.
In 1997, when she was still a teenager, she starred in two Nollywood films: Compromise 2 and Waterloo. Okereke placed second at the 2002 competition for the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria. Okereke won two wins at the 2003 Reel Awards, out of the eight nominations she received, for ‘Best Actress – English’ and ‘Best Actress of the year 2003′. In 2007, upon her graduation from the New York Film Academy, Okereke released the film Through the Glass, for which she functioned as director, screenwriter, producer, and actress. In 2009, the film was nominated for the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Screenplay. 2014 saw the release of her second film, Dry, for which she once again served as director, scriptwriter, producer, and performer. Dry won numerous honors, including the 12th Africa Movie Academy Awards and 2016 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards for best movie overall, along with a brand-new automobile.
In April 2005, while traveling to the African Movie Academy Awards in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria, Okereke was engaged in a severe vehicle accident that left her with extensive burns and a broken leg.
Okereke wed Linus Idahosa in a private ceremony in Paris, France, in April 2012, with family members and prominent Nollywood actresses and actors in attendance. In October 2015, their first and only son, Maxwell Enosata Linus, was born.
