Early Life of Ufuoma Mcdermott:

Born in Benin City on April 23, 1981, Ufuoma Stacey McDermot, formerly known as Ufuoma Mcdermott, is a Nigerian actress of Urhobo ethnicity. The gifted actress’s parents are both members of the Ewu Clan from the Ughelli South local government area of Delta State. Ufuoma spent her early years in Benin City, where she was born, before migrating to Jos and then Lagos, where she currently resides. At the age of seven, her father gave her the Urhobo nickname “Isio,” which means “star.” The moniker star was drawn from the star actress of the NTA Benin-produced TELEFEST production, The Pot of Life.
