Wizkid Biography: Marriage, Wife and Children

Popular Nigerian singer and composer Wizkid is well-known. He performs dancehall, Afropop, and Afrobeat music. Additionally, he is the owner of Starboy Entertainment, a record company.

By his supporters and music aficionados, Wizkid is frequently referred to as “Big Wiz,” “Starboy,” or “Machala.” He is today one of the most well-known artists in Africa and has received numerous honors and accolades.

Wikid’s early life and education

The full name of Wizkid is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun. His birthday is July 16, 1990. His age as of April 2022 is 31. Big Wiz was born in Surulere, Lagos State, Nigeria, into a middle-class family. His parents, his three sisters, and he all grew up there. Wizkid is his mother’s lone child.

In Lagos, Wizkid completed his elementary education. After that, he continued his secondary education at Ijebu Ode Grammar School (JOGS) in Ogun state.

As of April 2022, Wizkid doesn’t hold a university degree. In 2009, the Afropop artist left Lagos State University (LASU). He then applied to Lead City University to get a degree in international studies. However, after his second year, he was unable to complete his education there. He claims he dropped out of school to concentrate on his music career.

How Wizkid started his music career

He grew up listening to artists like Fela Kuti, King Sunny Ade, and Bob Marley. He was also a vocalist in the choir of his church. The relationship between Wizkid and Tania Omotayo was confirmed during an interview with Gbemi Olateru on Beat 99.9 FM. Despite Wizkid’s baby mama issues and adultery rumors, the couple dated for five years. Many people at the time thought Tania and Big Wiz made the ideal team.

Wizkid and Tiwa Savage’s relationship fuelled dating rumors in 2018. This came after Tiwa Savage appeared in Wizkid’s music video for “Fever” as a video vixen. The two had often been spotted together at gatherings and acting like a couple before that.

For being in a relationship with Wizkid, who is approximately 10 years her junior, Tiwa Savage received harsh criticism. She denied dating Big Wiz, though. He is a “really close buddy” who is always there for her, according to her.

Wizkid’s children

Currently, Wizkid is the father of three boys, born to three separate women. Boluwatife Balogun, his first child, was born on May 13, 2011. By April 2022, he will be 10 years old. Mother of Boluwatife is Sola Ogudu.

Wizkid and Binta Diamond had their second child on January 15, 2016. His name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun Junior, and as of April 2022, he will be 6 years old.

On October 28, 2017, Zion Ayo-Balogun, his final child, was born. He will turn 4 in April 2022. Zion’s mother, Jada Pollock, is the manager of Wizkid.
